Reflection

Graduation is a time of completion, of finishing, of an ending, however it is also a time of celebration and a new beginning.Another school year is coming to a close, signaling the start of a new chapter for most of you.  We’ll move on to college. Whichever path that stretches out before you, you can be sure that is a fresh one, a renewed one. I still remember my first step here at Ilocos Sur National High School, it’s just like another world for me, I was surprise with the large number of students, I was bothered, and how can I mingle with them. As day goes by , I am now use with the lifetime here at school. The problems, challenges that serves as my trials, how thankful I am  because of this I’m learning with my mistakes that serves as my inspiration and to become a better student.  After 4 years, we are entering again another period in the world history in which many of the old systems dismantled, gradually being replaced by newer and hopefully, better ones. I pray that we relentlessly seek and build better lives for ourselves and for the larger community around us.

       

To our parents, teachers, staff and administrators, I thank you for your patience and support as we undergo these radical changes. An investment is not investment without capital. Your support and sacrifice make up the capital which would bring us to see our fellow students lead and live in a country much transformed by your investments. Thank You  :)  . High school is the best!

My Dream My Future

When I was a child, my teachers and parents said to me, “people who have no dreams of the future will not fly far away”. Because of those inspiring words from my parents and teachers, I’m inspired to be a Medical Technologist.

In sixteen years of my existing, I have now my dream that inspired me to achieve this goal for my future. Well on the other hand I want to be a computer expert, because this is in demand now a day, and most offices now are using computer. But someone told me that this would not be the basis, it should be what you really want. When I was young I really dream to work in a hospital laboratory, but my problem is, sometimes I’m afraid of blood but maybe I can work on this. Today, I’m still looking forward in my dream if I could be a Medical Technologist or could I be a computer expert. I will try my best to do my dream job in the future, and if I fail or I have problems with my studies, I will keep on dreaming to overcome the problem and keep believing I will have a good life in the future. And also I want a simple life, simple as it is and I believe that the simpler the better. In life it doesn’t matter how rich you are, how successful you are the important is you are living freely, happy, peacefully and the goal in life is to live long and be healthy. With this dream, I’m really inspired to achieve my goal in the near future.

Dream is something that all of us need to have. It is our vision. Dream is what you want to do for your future. I believe that having a great dream, is a must to us. Dream can help you to prepare to face this challenging world.

Change: It Starts With Me

Change means to undergo transformation: to make different. I can make a change, I can make a different and I can transform. Everyone can change completely and it’s their choice in what will they undergo.

As young as I am, I know and merely understand the things that surround me. I have the idea of what is happening, inside our home, school, community, country and the world. so please, don’t  neglect us, we the youth are part of this world.

For the little things that I do, I can influence others. Now that I am still young, I will change for the better. I will do good things. I will share my talent and knowledge for the betterment of others. I will be a good model to all especially to the younger generations. As we all know, environment is one of the biggest factor that influence the behavior of others. So if the environment is surrounded by good things, there is a possibility that the people around, have a good behavior and this will lead us to a successful country and bright future for us.

It’s not yet late, don’t hesitate, change.

Ylocos Kannawidan

Ylocos Kannawidan Festival

February comes, we immediately think about “Month of Hearts” but no it’s not only the occasion that we have to celebrate. “Kannawidan” this is very important, exciting occasion especially here in Ilocos Sur.

Kannawidan one of the biggest celebration here in Ilocos Sur, where in all the products, cultures, traditions were shown up. Kannawidan has lived up to its mission and vision, that of preserving and perpetuating the rich Iloco cultural, artistic, historical and intellectual heritage. We are very happy that Kannawidan gatherings have always been a venue for Ilocanos, relations and friends, sharing and exchanging thoughts, views and insights on how to preserve and perpetuate are beautiful customs and traditions. Aside from the OTOP, towns also featured their "pinaka" or "most outstanding" product, which translates to the biggest and sweetest, smallest and most unique products among others. Fashion Show to display beautiful and elegant wardrobes weaved by the use of "abel"; the Saniata ti Ylocos to let people see that Ilocanas are beautiful, smart, talented and gorgeous women. Kannawidan is really big help, especially to us; children’s, teenagers and even adult people. We are given the chance to witness, watch, and learn and to know what are their different cultures in entire Ilocos Sur. Through this Kannawidan we can save money, time and effort to buy their products, we just visit the venue of Kannawidan, and there you can buy all you want and taste different delicacies here in Ilocos.

Kannawidan shows about tradition. And each town should have a presentations that shows their best so that tourist may attract more and their impression about Ilocos is good. And we should be proud to be an Ilocano because Kannawidan shows the harmonious relationship among Ilocanos ! J

Reflection

Another grading had passed, I gained a lot of knowledge, information and experience and of course having a problem with my ICT subject.

          Computers have become an important and indispensable feature of our lives. Computer is used at work especially at school. We all know that our subject is all about computer, and it's a big help to us, we can make our assignments, projects easier and faster. In this grading we focus in using notepad, making web design and it's really fun . I'm very happy when I finish one activity seeing the result of this, makes me more eager to learned. When our teacher give us our project which is all about Foods here in Vigan, and  we will be going to create a web page out of it and  I found it really hard. It's December 15 but we are not yet able to finish it, that's why we are rushing, we are very nervous at that time, then the laptop were using suddenly not working, that's why we are very tense but thanks God we are able to finish it and pass it.

          New experience and challenge make people do better, especially in studies. In my situation, I realize that we must do our project on time, but it serves  my challenge also, for me to be a better and responsible student. And thanks really, that we have our ICT subject that helps us to improve and learn computer and we can use it for future.

New Year New Me

Welcome 2015!

 

           

When the New Year comes, around it seems like the perfect time for self-improvement.

            Lives in the year 2014 are now just memories, whether it was good or bad, happy or sad. As a day goes by and clock ticks before the midnight of December 31^st 2014 my minds starts to think of the past, realizing what have I done right or wrong to my life. Looking back at the time, I was addicted to face book, I sued it on my phone and it was the most viewed site on my computer. I almost failed at my first periodical test because I was on face book when I was supposed to be studying. Today, New Year, New Life, and it’s are for change. All I want is to focus in my studies, especially now that I’m a graduating student of high school, and I will be in College soon. First, I just want to use internet if needed, I will be thrifty; I will not just buy and buys some stuffs, finish all my requirements before playing gadgets or making fun with friends. And of course I will act as a true lady and not just a childish one because I realize that I’ve grown up a lot, and I must go through it. That’s it; I just hope I can do it.

            For anyone who’s serious about resolutions, making them is brave. We just need to do some honest assessment of what’s working and not working in our lives, we need to consider where we want to head I these year. New Year resolution isn’t meant to change your life, they’re just a nice tradition, but serious resolutions mean the year is going to be a challenge for you to be a better person.

"Essence of Christmas"

Joy to the world, the lord has come. Let earth receive her king. One of the most common song played and sing by all ages.

Christmas, what does it mean? Children awaits Christmas because of the presents they will get. But Christmas is not the time of gift giving alone. It is time of love and unity. Christmas is a season where we should celebrate the birth of our savior. Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ does not mean having a lot of food, during the Noche Buena, wearing a new clothes and shoes, receiving gifts or attending Christmas parties. Nowadays especially the young generations, this is how they elaborate Christmas. We should be reminded that Christmas is the season where we should give time to Jesus Christ. It is right to give thanks to Him to all the blessings, He showered upon us. Christmas is giving and forgiving. Material things are just secondary. We should bear in our minds what Jesus Christ died for us. We can only repay him by doing good especially to others.

For me, the true essence of Christmas is, it’s a time to show love, sharing, reconciliation, and relationships. A time for getting together, and a time to remember of all the sacrifices of Jesus Christ and to greet him a happy birthday.
